A workshop which will explore the developing role of managers in information
and library services; managing staff in the context of rapidly changing
circumstances; achieving results through others by motivation, communication
and delegation and will conclude with a look at practical ways to deal with
difficult situations. You will be encouraged to share ideas and approaches
and to identify individual and service action plans, which can be
implemented back in the workplace.
Who should attend?
Those who have recently been appointed or promoted into a management
position. Those who have been in management for some time, but would like
the chance to remind themselves of essential skills and techniques.
