Index.
The Newspaper Index
The Newspaper Index on the Web is a comprehensive index providing quick
access to the full range of quality daily and Sunday newspapers,including
all their supplements and magazines. Also covered are a number of
essential weekly news magazines.
The full coverage is:-
*Daily Telegraph,
*Financial Times,
*Guardian,

*Times,
*Observer,
*Sunday Times,
*Economist,
*Times Education Supplement,
*Times Higher Education Supplement,
*Times Literary Supplement.
The Information Index
The Information Index is a subject index to popular periodicals ...
periodicals like Scientific American are indexed alongside ones like
Country Life and Good Housekeeping ... our main concern is to produce an

** StudentZone additions
---------------------
NISS's StudentZone site is growing again with further additions to its
'Academic section' at http://www.studentzone.org.uk/academic/
New subject pages have been added under the 'Resources by Subject'
heading, and these include:
* Anatomy
* Anthropology
* Botany
* Dentistry
* Environmental Science
* Journalism
* Linguistics
* Oceanography
* Zoology
Each of these new subject pages leads to information about courses and
research, employment, societies and associations, and other subject-
related online resources. These pages incorporate more than 200 new links
to information.
Other subject pages in the Academic section that existed previously are
also being updated and enhanced, with new links added where appropriate.
** EduServ now a MCSP
------------------
EduServ (home to Athens, CHEST and NISS) has recently become a MCSP
(Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider) member.
In its (website) overview of the MCSP Program, Microsoft explains that
"Microsoft Certified Solution Providers (MCSPs) are independent companies
that provide IT services and IT products based on Microsoft technologies
to corporate, government and small business customers. MCSP membership is
26,000 strong worldwide ... The MCSP Program is designed to increase
members' technical competency and business proficiency."
NISS does not use Microsoft technologies exclusively, but we shall
nevertheless look forward to investigating how these suggested benefits of
membership might improve the services we provide to users.
