UNIVERSITY WEB SITE EDITOR
Web Site Editor required for this pivotal role in the delivery of
distributed electronic information about the University both
internally and externally. The post is tenable for 2 years in the first
instance.
Based in the University Library, you will have direct responsibility
for planning the central University Web Site, ensuring that this core
service is designed to allow efficient retrieval of information about
the University and is presented in a way which is consistent with
the University's corporate visual identity. In addition you will have a
crucial co-ordinating role across the many University web sites,
working with other web editors, to ensure that they are planned,
maintained and presented according to best practice within the
University.
You should be a graduate in an appropriate discipline, which is
likely to be publishing studies or information science, OR have an
appropriate postgraduate qualification. You should be creative and
committed, have excellent interpersonal skills combined with a
thorough understanding of and competence in the design and
creation of web-based information.
Salary scale: £18,915 - £24,479 p.a. (under review)
