PRESENTS
Joining the learning and teaching community: A seminar and workshop for librarians on the Institute for Learning and Teaching
Tuesday 4 July 2000, 10.00am to 4.00pm, Staff House, University of Hull
What is the Institute for Learning and Teaching?
The ILT is the first professional membership organisation representing those involved in learning and teaching in higher education. Its
aims are to enhance the status and improve the quality of teaching and learning support as professional activities in higher education, and
to set standards of professional practice.
Why should I attend this event?
Membership of the ILT is open to all those engaged in teaching and the support of learning in higher education, including those in libraries
and information services. The speakers will give an overview of the ILT, the benefits of membership and the application process, followed by
a workshop on preparing your application. This involves preparing a portfolio of evidence of professional activity and a short reflective
analysis. You could leave Hull with most of the work already done!
