The attached link is to Anne Enright's fascinating piece on HeLa in the
London Review of Books, which, in passing, is also a fine exemplar of the
weaknesses of the internet. Hope this helps

Subject: hela cells & The "Henrietta Lacks" story
I have been asked by one of our readers to find details of a
TV documentary
about "Hela Cells" and the "Henrietta Lacks" story.
Apparently it was
broadcast about 2-3 years ago and a book was produced based
on the
programme - I may have been a BBC Horizon or C4 Equinox
programme, but
cannot confirm this.
I have tried various sources, but can't find anything more
recent than a
book produced in 1986 (Gold : A conspiracy of cells ...),
which we have
requested from BLDSC.
does anyone have any recollection of the title/source of
this item which
would enable me to track down a copy of the programme
transcript?
Many thanks in advance,
Jeremy Evans
