Two separate queries
I am thinking of setting up a separate collection of National
Curriculum/SCAA/QCA documentation within the library. I have
seen this at a couple of other libraries and I know that our users
have problems finding items that are spread across the Dewey
sequence. I was wondering whether anyone else had any done
this, and what were the problems, pros and cons. A major problem
that I forsee in our case is telling users where it is on the catalogue
entry, as I know that it is very time consuming to set up a new
location code and our systems librarian is not at all keen on doing
this.
Second query, I have been told by our School of Education that the
school experience collection won't form part of the subject review
which we are having in a year's time. This seems very odd to me,
and I was just wondering whether any one who has been through
subject review could tell me whether this is actually true.
Thanks
