CHAIR/ READER IN LAW AND TWO A/B LECTURESHIPS
Criminal law and Public law
DEPARTMENT OF LAW
The Department seeks to appoint well qualified applicants to the
above posts. These are partly expansion and partly replacement
posts. All posts are permanent subject to the completion of any
probation requirements. It is envisaged that any appointee would fit
within or advance existing research strengths within the
Department's established Research Centres and Research
Clusters. This should not preclude applications for the lecturer
posts from those just embarking upon an academic career. The
Department is host to three interdisciplinary centres: the Centre for
Criminal Justice Studies, the Centre for Business Law and Practice
and the Centre for the Study of Law in Europe. The Department has
research clusters in the area of obligations, public law, cyberlaw,
family law and the state, society and the corporation. The
appointees would contribute to both undergraduate and
postgraduate teaching and postgraduate supervision where
appropriate.
The Department has some teaching needs in the areas of criminal
law and public law and it is envisaged that some contribution will
be made in these areas by one or more of the appointees. The
posts are available from 1 September 2000 or as soon as possible
thereafter. Further details of the Department's work are available as
below or via the World Wide Web:
