The Transportation Systems Engineering Group at Indian Institute of
Technology is organising an International Workshop titled 'Transportation
Planning and Implementation Methodologies for Developing Countries:
Transportation Infrastructure' during December 5th to 7th 2000. This is
fourth international workshop in the series of TPMDC. The workshop will
aim at training and providing the latest information in the field of
transportation infrastructure projects to the participants especially
from developing countries. Four experts from abroad, one each from Australia
and Belgium and two from Poland have already sent their consent for
delivering the expert lectures during the workshop. The experts from India
will also be delivering the lectures on varied themes related to the
transportation infrastructure provisions. The organising committee has
decided to invite at the most fifteen delegates from the developing
countries and has recommended your name for extending the invitation of
attending the international workshop TPMDC 2000.
On behalf of the organising committee of TPMDC 2000 we invite you to
attend the workshop. As per the information received from The World Bank the
participants can approach the world bank functionary in the respective
country for the sanction of Travel grant and other financial matters
subjective some project is going on in transportation area.
The organising committee is also trying to arrange some travel grants
but at the moment can only assure of partly reimbursing the travel.
In case you are interested in attending the workshop kindly send the
Form F-1 and F-2 duly filled. The broucher and forms F1 and F2 are
