Hello --
This discussion site for tunicates is a grand idea! My name is Alan
Holyoak (PhD UC Santa Cruz w/ Todd Newberry 1992), and my primary
tunicate-related research interest is in the general area modularity. I
used the pedunculate compound ascidian Polyclinum planumas my research
model as I studied modular growth and colony morphogenesis for my PhD
research. I am now on the faculty of a liberal arts college in the
midwest, and don't have many chances to work with ascidians now, but I look
forward to seeing what kinds of topics and discussions will pop up at this
discussion site.
Best,
Alan Holyoak
