Dear SPM experts,
I am a beginner of SPM'99 on Windows-NT (SPMWin?). I am trying to
obtain z-score for fMRI data. Would you please tell me how to analyze
my data?
Data: fMRI
subject: 1
conditions: 1 (finger-tapping)
scan: 3 rest and 3 activation epochs in alternation.
Each epoch consists of 7 scans.
(1st-7th images are rest,
8th-14th images are activation,
15th-21th images are rest,
22th-28th images are activation,
29th-35th images are rest,
36th-42th images are activation.
Total 42 images.
Is a meaning of "epoch" correct?)
I want to z-score. I do not understand some options.
I tried to enter the following:
fMRI models button
-> specify and estimate a model
number of sessions : 1
Interscan interval : 4
number of conditions or trials : 1
(is this correct? Should I enter "2"?)
SOA ?
convolve with hrf?
vector of onsets?
variable durations?
I do not use high-pass filter and low-pass filter.
(should I use these filter?)
epoch length for trial 1 : 7
(is this correct in this situation?)
Results button
-> I set default value for mask, threshold and so on.
I set t-contrast "1 -1" or "-1 1", is it correct?
I want to z-score, which is (mean(rest)-mean(activation))/SE,
but the different options give different z-scores.
Thank you in advance.
