SCIENCE EVENTS MANAGER
The BA is a leading player in science communication in the UK with a mission
to involve everyone in science and its influence on our lives. As Science
Events Manager you will be responsible for developing the content and style
of two of the largest public science events in the UK - the BA's own annual
Festival of Science in September and National Science Week in March.
Managing a team of two, you will have a pivotal role developing both major
events as appropriate for the 21st century.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in the natural or social
sciences and have significant experience in science-related event management
including content development, financial planning, marketing and logistics.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, an understanding of the likely
stakeholders in these major events and of the science and science
communication communities.
Salary range: £25 000 - 30 000 pa.
