I've pointed out the unwieldy nature of this message to the originator. We
will make it available in a different format for list members to access as
required.
It wasn't actually an attachment, just a very long text message duplicated
in html format. On the point Hazel makes, regarding a means of filtering out
attachments; that may be available using the ListServ software to be
introduced in November when the list will migrate to the new server at CLRC.
The current mailbase system does not support such filters.
I would also echo Alan's point on ensuring you delete the original message
when replying - forgeting to do that with the TICCIH message will really get
people's backs up.
But going back to the content of the TICCIH colliery draft document. Despite
its length I would encourage all those interested in the archaeology of coal
mining to examine it in detail and make comments to
<[log in to unmask]> It is an important document in the fight to
ensure the survival of at least a representative sample of international
coal mining technology.
