Can anyone help this non-member with information on the Conlig Lead Mines,
Whitespots townland, co. Down.
I have already drawn his attention to Cole, Grenville A. J., Memoir of
Localities of Minerals of Economic Importance and Metalliferous Mines in
Ireland, (1922, facsimile edition, Dublin, 1998) and suggested he contact
the Mining Heritage Society of Ireland.

>Hi , my name is Paul Whitla and I am a tour guide for my home town of
Newtownards . I have been asked to give a tour of the lead mines of Conlig
in Co Down. The problem I am having is that I can not get any information on
them , of the mines itself or any reference to working conditions or any
thing else of relevance to the work force in the 18 / 19th centuary, I hope
you can give me a pointers in this matter . Many thanks .
>P Whitla.
