To answer your second question, there is no complete edition of the
CSM to replace Anglés' 1943 edition.
Various people are active producing new versions of the music - you
could contact Margaret Switten ([log in to unmask]) who has
incorporated the CSM in her Medieval Lyric materials, or, in
Britain and Ireland, David Wulstan ([log in to unmask]) and Martin
Cunningham ([log in to unmask]).
A complete translation of the texts has been published in the U.S.,
The Songs of Holy Mary by Alfonso X, by Kathleen Kulp-Hill (Medieval
and Renaissance Texts and Studies, 173), Arizona State U., 1999 -
I can't speak for the translations, but the usual edition of the
texts (Mettmann 1986-88) is as much in need of revision as the music
is...
