The Digital Library/Digitization Project Life-Cycle
A Workshop organized by the MALIBU Project
Thursday 24 February 2000, 10.00am to 4.00pm
Library Meeting Room, Old Library, Strand, King's College London

The content of this message, including full details of the
programme, registration etc are available at:

Malibu is an eLib phase three hybrid library project, the full title
of which is Managing the hybrid library for the Benefit of Users,
and one of its main remits is dissemination of ideas, strategies
and models of digital and hybrid library development throughout UK
HE. (see http://kcl.ac.uk/cch/malibu).
This workshop is one of a series being organised by the project
to be held at the three major partner sites (King's College
London, Oxford University and Southampton University).
The workshop is intended to introduce librarians, managers, IT
personnel, academics, and any other interested parties to a whole
range of issues in digital library development. It is NOT a workshop
about technology and so jargon will be avoided as far as possible!
Rather, it is intended to help people come to a full
appreciation of what digital library projects involve and what
the real costs are.
Places are limited to 30. If you are interested in attending
all or part of the workshop, please contact Helen Skundric no later
than 22 February 17.00 ([log in to unmask], ext. 2684) There is no charge
for the workshop. Lunch will not be provided, but there are
catering facilities both within and outside King's College.
