The following letter will be posted in the next HCLU mail-shot. In the meantime I am posting it to the LIHNN list.
Dear Colleague,
EMBASE Database
The Health Care Libraries Unit recently subscribed to the EMBASE database and you may have received an email informing you about this in July. The service has been extended to include NHSnet/MIRON users and www/OPTOnet users.
You can access MIRON via the NHSnet at: <http://nww.miron.nhsweb.nhs.uk> http://nww.miron.nhsweb.nhs.uk
and OPTOnet via the web at: <http://www.optonet.net> http://www.optonet.net
The license allows access to all NHS staff. None NHS staff, who are members of your library, are restricted to using the database inside the library.
The username and password are:
USERNAME: nhsenw PASSWORD: wsehan
EMBASE is recognised as a comprehensive pharmacological and biomedical resource and is one of the most current biomedical databases available. I strongly urge you to promote the resource to your users.
Happy searching
With regards
Colin
