Hi Gwenda
I too was a trainee for a year whilst doing my undergraduate course.
>From expereince I'd say trainees are a good idea - they're
enthusiastic, will make endless cups of tea if you tell them it is
an important library skill and are prepared to turn their hands to
almost anything in the pursuit of skills/knowledge. Its also quite
hard to find a placement when you're a student so the more employers
who participate in taking on trainees the better.
Angie
Has anyone ever employed a graduate trainee? Or thought about it
and decided against the idea? We're looking into the possibility
and I'd appreciate any information, pros and cons etc.
Thank you,
