Subject: Medical Library Association conference - Florida May 2001
Dear Colleagues
I would like to bring your attention to the fact that the
International Co-operation Section of MLA has two sessions next year
at the Florida conference. I have deliberately tried to make them
international in flavour and would urge anyone who is thinking of
going to MLA next year to please submit a paper. The two themes are:
1. "Opening the doors to HAL" - Programmes for developing the HeAlth
Librarian of the future
2. "To boldly go where no information has gone before" - Delivering
health and information to rural communities using telemedicine
I apologise for the dubious puns but the theme of the conference is
"2001 - an information odyssey"!!
Submissions can be made at www.mlanet.org before September 25th.
I look forward to reviewing your papers
Bruce Madge
The British Library and Chair-elect of ICS
