Hi ...
I'm a "new" participant here -- "new" because I susbscribed for a few years
a couple of years ago.
I have just retired after 30 years working for a state environmental agency
here in the U.S., where I was director of environmental education. My last
effort there was an environmental ethics workbook for high school students
--"Environmental Citizenship Workbook."
I am also "owner" of a 1,000 - member mailing list (using LISTSERV software)
that deals with the hobby or avocation of bonsai. We have had some
interesting and impassioned discussions on the ethics of collecting trees
from the wild.
I'll be more of a reader of this list than a participant because I'm a
dabbler in the field, but very interested.
The query: I just finished reading "What Are They Saying About
Environmental Ethics" by Pamela Smith (Paulist Press, 1997) and would be
interested in some thoughts and opinions (sent either privately or to the
list).
Now, into lurk mode.
