Ah ah ah...nope. Were did *I* write *that*? In fact, a totally different
conclusion is to be drawn if you had read some of my posts on
externalities.

Tell it to VeggieBiggs (aka Jamey Lee West) and John Foster. Kinda sucks
when somebody constructs a strawman of your argument and then uses it to
attack you.

Careful here. Neither Jim nor I have tried to defend Ayn Rand,
Objectivism or any of its adherents. He has looked at her philosophy and
tried to figure out what she means. I was at one time subscribed to a
Objectivist mailing list. I found some of their arguments interesting,
and others totally inadequate. However, I can say that from my experience
with them Jim Tantillo's interpretation seems to be correct. At least in
regards to Altruism. Rand did not define the word to mean people who are
kind, and generous to people who are down on their luck, etc.

Well, maybe if we can get John Foster and Jamey to calm down abit we
could.
