This is one of the best examples of double-think I've seen in quite a
while...no "expressed Ideology or political
position " ? what ? Phew ! The whole paragraph is nothing but
ideology. For a start, there's no such creature as
'progress' . There is only change, and whether you believe a
particular example of change is progressive,
regressive, or neutral, tends to follow from whether said change
effects you adversely or not....and the fact
that the Hudson Institute is prepared to give space to Digby Anderson
shows me exactly where they are
situated. He's been churning out his extreme right wing propaganda
for years in this country..'the decline
of authority', Jeez ! Yup, for sure, what we all need is a good
healthy dose of dictatorship to restore civilised
values and keep the great unwashed in their kennels where they
belong...That's his politics. I could go on,
but it's a lovely sunny morning, so I shall restrain myself for
once... < shuts down computer and goes out
into the garden muttering in indignation at the profanity and folly
of his fellow humans and how Georgie
Orwell, God bless him, saw all this coming a long time ago.....>
