You cannot make this an either-or distinction. You cannot look at
environmental ethics without looking at people as well. It is like
saying, well lets discuss environmental ethics, but lets exclude trees.

Hmmm, why is it people always equate economic well being with money?
Money is not the sole driver here, it is one of them to be sure, but not
the only one.
