Ray,
Little known fact, I have been selectively breeding stray dogs for years
and have through careful attention to linebreeding achieved an "Uber" line
of completely *amoral* dogs. Furthermore, friends of mine who have bought
these dogs tell me they make great hunting companions. BTW, these dogs
have literally "saved my life" by selling for so much on the open market.
:-)
IMHO, the moral dog breeds that intentionally pee on the floor are just too
darn complicated for the average animal loving but inexperienced pet owner,
which unfortunately is why we see so many of the conventionally moral
varieties of dogs abandoned and in animal shelters, especially during the
months immediately following the holidays. But I guess one can only shrug
and conclude, "It serves them right."
ObEEC (obligatory environmental ethics content): Are wolves moral beings?
If so, would this fact provide additional support for efforts to
reintroduce wolves into the wild? Or would this be a reason *not* to
support wolf reintroductions? Discuss.
:-) jt
