Apologies for cross posting.
Please note that although Dr Brox is attending, it is not a
telepathology video (I have caused some confusion...!).

Dr Janis Huston was involved in a telemedicine project in the
States for 3 years. During that time, they made a videotape
explaining telemedicine that they used as a tool for informed
consent for the patient.
The work was written up in "Use of Video in the Informed Consent
Process,"Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, 4 (Suppl 1),38-40,
by Burton, DC, & Huston, JL.
She is now temporarily in England, and has very kindly offered to
show the video and discuss the work with us at the British
Library. Dr Georg Brox, a histopathologist involved in
telemedicine, will also be attending.
Janis is showing the video and discussing the project at the Maps
Seminar Room, British Library, St Pancras on Wednesday 27th
September from 10.30 till about 11.30.
There will be *some* space for external visitors to join BL staff
(no fee involved).
If you attended the TeleMed 1997 meeting, you will have seen the
video then. You're still welcome to attend, but please mention
that you have seen it, as I will prioritise those who have not if
there is in sufficient space.
If you are interested in attending, please email me by Mon 25th
latest (security passes needed and limited places). I will then
send further details. You would need to arrive here by 10.15 to
allow for security procedures and getting to the room in time.
Sorry about the short notice.
