>I call prose anything that doesn't aspire to the condition of poetry,

Problematic, like any sort of definition.
Beckett's prose aspires to the condition of poetry, and achieves it, but
remains indisputably prose. Peter Weiss, William Burroughs, James
Kelman, Bruno Schultz, lots of others I can't think of now.
What is the condition of poetry? A kind of skin disease? I am
developing allergies to any sort of categories, a problem in itself. Any
remedy, Doctor?
