That isn't what I said - of course classifications and categories are valid -
mine was not about disposing of them but concerned the relative importance of
discussion of types pf song vs the sustenance of a moribund tradition.
In any case, it was intended to be provocative. My bad behaviour lies in that
I made it and then went away for a few days while the flak rattled.
