What format will the Family History Society use; 16mm or 35 mm rollfilm, strip jackets, or what? The film format (roll or film) will determine the machine you want to buy. Many of the machines available today can switch between rollfilm and fiche with great ease. I would suggest though that at least one of the machines be of the type that can produce plain paper printouts from the microform. This can be a small revenue generator for you.
On another note be sure that the film is processed properly to LE500 standards and that duplicates are made for research use thus sparing the original film.
Just some thoughts from a Yank across the waters.
