Hello all,
Is there any documentation on the source material for the Manchurian railroad
rail?
I heard talk that Sheffield shear steel was the top surface and wrought was the
substrate. This seems very odd to be since the Bessemer process was not new in
the 1920-30's and the labor for such a large amount of shear steel would be
astounding.
It would be a simple matter if I had a chem. anaylsis of the two sections, but
I do not.
As always any references are appreciated.
