FREE One-Day Workshop on "Exploiting Biological Potential"
=========================================================
(Thursday 30th November 2000 at Matrix House, Cowley Road, Cambridge)
You are cordially invited to attend a practical one-day workshop which
will act as a showcase for the latest statistical design, analysis and
visualisation techniques required to rapidly optimise the efficiency and
productivity of bioassay and bioprocess technologies. It will demonstrate
by example how to successfully employ these techniques.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop is intended for both non-statisticians who want to use
statistical methods for effective problem solving and for statisticians
who want to learn more about biotechnology applications. The workshop will
prove an invaluable guide for biologists, biochemists, biostatisticians,
biotechnologists as well as quality and industrial engineers; providing a
logical and cost-effective strategy for planning and analysing experiments
to improve and optimise bioproducts and processes.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES?
1. to improve the awareness of researchers, scientists and statisticians
working in the biosciences of the latest techniques for understanding,
rapidly improving and optimising their bioassays, products and processes.
2. to facilitate learning from the experience of others by examining case
studies from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
WHAT DO I LEAVE WITH?
The ability to:
1. troubleshoot bioassays and bioprocesses;
2. select an experimental strategy to improve quality and productivity,
and to reduce costs, waste and development times;
3. hand over products and processes to production.
FURTHER INFORMATION?
This workshop has arisen through an exciting new partnership between PRISM
Training & Consultancy Limited and The Mathworks, distributors of the
MATLAB software, who will be hosting the event at their state-of-the-art
research centre in Cambridge.
