OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE UNIVERSITY
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Applications are invited for this post, based in the Planning
Section, Secretary’s Office, Old College, South Bridge.
The core work of the post is the preparation of information to
support the University's corporate and Faculty management functions.
The postholder will also support the University's planning and
resource allocation processes, and statistical returns to external
bodies. (S)he will have day-to-day responsibility for managing the
Planning Section's Web site (http://www.ed.ac.uk/msp). Applicants
should be highly numerate and have good IT skills. Experience of
committee servicing is desirable. Relevant administrative
experience, preferably from a Higher Education environment, is also
desirable. Strong time management and interpersonal skills are
important. Applicants should have at least an upper second class
honours degree or equivalent.
The salary scale is £18,915 - £24,479 per annum, with further
discretionary points to £26,429.
