POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Design/Visual Communication, Tenure Track
Assistant Professor
Salary and Rank: Commensurate with qualifications and
experience
Date: August 16, 2000
Qualifications: MFA in graphic design, visual communication,
design, or related area required by date of hire. Either university-level
teaching experience or professional design experience in the design/visual
communication field is required, with experience in both areas preferred.
Demonstrated experience with typography and print media in a Macintosh
environment required. Knowledge in all aspects of design/visual
communication preferred.
Duties:
1. Teach courses in the undergraduate-level visual communication
degree program.
2. Contribute to program development in the visual communication
area.
3. Conduct research, creative activity, and/or professional practice.
4. Participate fully in education and professional duties/activities
within the School of Art and Design.

The School: The School of Art and Design offers: a BFA degree
with specializations in Art Education, Industrial Design, Visual
Communication, Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics,
Fibers, Glass, and Metals; BA degrees in General Design, Art Education,
