I have not actually tried to use the software yet, but I have read the
manual and it does appear to be an improvement on last year. However, I
maintain that by far the easiest way to deal with this would be for the
SLC to accept a simple spreadsheet from everyone, (fields etc designed to
meet their prescribed criteria). I find that the prescribed software is
clumsy and surplus to requirements.
Also, I was disapointed to find that the pre-loaded course data which the
SLC has carried forwarded from last year cannot be deleted. It would have
been much easier to have started from scratch, especially as I know that
this data is full of errors.
