Early versions of SPM used to do this, but the order that the files are
now selected in is the same (and generally accepted) alphabetical order
that all software lists files in.
All the DICOM conversion etc routines in SPM attempt to assign filenames
that can be sorted in alphabetical order by calling files 001, 002,
003,...010,011 etc.
