Hi Lizzie
I am a practice based PhD student based in Manchester, UK. My research investigates social contexts in new media practices and in part is interested in the curatorial role as an extension of arts practice.
I coordinate a Manchester based artists platform - Interval, which supports different groups of new media artists in regular collaborative exhibitions. Although the Platform is an independent initiative, from each event I ask specific questions in support of my research, and use the information towards specific case studies.
I would be happy to discuss with you my approach to the curation of these events, and similar projects I am involved in. Please feel free to email me.

Subject: [NEW-MEDIA-CURATING] writing on curatorial practice-based research
Hi all
I'm sorry to quickly divert from the book recommendations. Maybe it's
not a diversion but more of a narrowing down. I'm looking for texts
which deal with the issues (methodological, epistemological ...) of
curatorial practice-based research. I am swimming in material that
deals with artistic practice, but have come across very little which
focuses on the particular issues of curating in a research context. I'd
also love to hear of any good examples of curatorial practice based
research projects.
Thanks
Lizzie
