medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Friends,
Aside from the discussions in the GCS editions, can anyone offer any
suggestions for bibliography on Latin manuscripts of Origen in the Middle
Ages?
Muckle on translations from Greek into Latin in Mediaeval Studies, 4,
1942, gives a good comprehensive list of translated works, some info is
available in the
Backus book on th >>Reception of the Church Fathers in the West<<,
Bischoff, Berschin, variety of works on medieval exegesis/study of
Bible/glossa ordinaria and,
of course, I have lists compiled of English manuscripts (my particular
interest) from catalogues and MLGB, etc. but I'd be interested in hearing
from anyone with an interest in the works of Greek Church Fathers in the
Latin West.
Thanks,
Karen Kletter
