number of other places. Not to mention the Boy Scouts. His vita, in one form
or another, is very old, by the way. An early version was condemned in 494
by Pope Gelasius for its completely over-the-top account of his martyrdom: in
it, he was actually killed five consecutive times, each time but the last being
put back together again and brought alive, so that he could go back for more.
