Thank you, Prof. Shaw. I'll definitely check it. Any suggestions for reading? There seem a number of studies on the ethical and aesthetic problem of representing man-made disasters. But I'm having hard time locating theoretical approaches and practical examples that might be helpful for my consideration. One of my specific questions might be: Are there any films that deal with natural disasters from outside Christian framework?

The tsunami in Eastwood's Hereafter is given a terrifying representation, and is linked to putting us in touch with our finitude and search for transcendence.
