The National Institute for the Study of Learning Difficulties has been
established at Trinity College, Dublin with the generous help of a
number of funders and is now seeking a Director and Administrative
Officer. The main aim of the Institute is to become a Centre of
Excellence in promoting the full inclusion of people with learning
difficulties through policy development, innovative education programmes
and high quality multi-disciplinary research. The Institute will work
with people with learning difficulties and their families to develop a
unique partnership with academic staff, students, service agencies,
representative organisations and government departments. The Director
will be expected to have a particular interest in human rights and to
provide the dynamism and innovation necessary to fully realise the aims
of the Institute. The Administrative Officer will be expected to provide
a range of administrative supports to the Director and Management
Committee.
These positions are offered on a contract for three years and
appointment on the salary scales will be subject to qualifications and
experience.
Salary range for Director: 61,253 -79,097 euro per annum
Salary range for Administrative Officer: 30,000 - 40,000 euro per annum
