That would explain the difference in disclosure outcomes then, and firmly
place them within existing policies and procedures.
I guess some of the the media reports were particularly slanted, or
inaccurately reported, being focused on their triumph in gaining disclosure
following a previous denial and thereby enabling a country wide, or even
worldwide (internet downloadable news items) disclosure.
Interesting how the outcomes from the management of information in these
situations affects the breadth of exposure given to personal data. Almost as
if that management of information was more important than the management of
the personal data involved in achieving a given perception.

That was the Derbyshire Police, when they were fairly sure the perps had
scarpered elsewhere.
