Assistant Archivist (Digital Archives)
Salary: £31,870 - £38,583 per annum inclusive, with potential to progress to £41,526 per annum inclusive.
The Library at LSE is the UK's foremost social science library and the Archives Division is responsible for the care and promotion of a wide range of archives and rare book collections playing an important role in the history of the social sciences. Our holdings include archives relating to politicians, political parties, pressure groups, social investigation, social welfare and anthropology.
To maintain its collections into the 21st century the Library is seeking an archivist to support the development of systems and processes for the management of digital archives and to participate in the wider work of the Archives Division.
Candidates should have a degree plus postgraduate qualification in archive administration (or equivalent qualification or experience) and an awareness of developments in the management of digital archives; excellent planning and communication skills along with the ability to apply sound research techniques and problem solving skills
