I1 I3 I9 P14 F4 The NERC (Natural Environment Research Council ) SIS Data Citation and Publication project is a collaboration between all the NERC-funded data centres. It aims to develop the processes and procedures required to allow the data sets stored in the NERC data centres to be made citeable and published via peer-review. The citation mechanism will be through the assignment of digital object identifiers DOIs, and the process of peer-review and publication of datasets will be done in collaboration with recognised academic journal publishers.
