Welcome to deliberations-forum. 

Deliberations is a website on teaching and learning in higher education based 
at London Metropolitan University (formerly London Guildhall University).

The deliberations-forum mailing list aims to provide you with a platform to:
 
1. discuss topics covered in the Deliberations web site; 
2. debate various other issues related to learning and teaching in higher 
   education; 
3. disseminate and exchange information relevant to learning and learning 
   in higher education, such as information on 
      - conference or seminar proceedings; 
      - new books and journals; 
      - forthcoming conferences and seminars; 
      - and so on.

   Use this email address to contact the list owner in the event of problems

       - if you have problems sending a message to the list

   Use this address to leave the deliberations-forum list, suspend 
   list membership, etc. You are advised to use the web address (see 1 above)

How to...

1. To send a message to everyone on the list, send an email to: 
                     deliberations-forum@jiscmail.ac.uk 

   NOTE: when you REPLY to a message using the 'Reply' button it will go to all 
   members by default. This is to encourage discussion. If you wish to reply to an 
   individual you MUST use only that person's e-mail address. 

2. To leave deliberations-forum, send the message, 
               leave deliberations-forum 
               stop 
   addressed to jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk

3. Suspend your membership to jiscmail lists, e.g. when you are away on holiday.
   The message:
                  set * nomail
   sent to:
                  jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk
   will suspend receipt of mail from ALL jiscmail lists.
   On your return, the message:
                  set * mail
   (sent to the same address) will restore normal service

Problems!

* PLEASE, DO NOT send commands, or requests to leave this list, or 
  administrative queries, to deliberations-forum@jiscmail.ac.uk - your problem 
  will be broadcast to all our members! 

* If you change your mail address, please send a message to 
  deliberations-forum-request@jiscmail.ac.uk

* If something goes wrong - perhaps you get two copies of every message - 
  send a message to deliberations-forum-request@jiscmail.ac.uk

* If mail from deliberations-forum to you is regularly rejected for some reason 
  (perhaps because you have run out of file space or your computer mail service 
  has been renamed) the list-owner may eventually delete you from the list.
