As part of the requirements for the provision of the JISCmail service we are currently sending out an email to every JISCmail subscriber containing details of the lists they are subscribed to.

Due to the massive scale of this exercise, we are running it from one of our auxiliary servers, aux.jiscmail.ac.uk (IP address 130.246.99.129), so as not to place unnecessary load on the main JISCmail servers. The email includes an invitation to complete a survey, which also points to this server.

As a result of the sheer volume of traffic on the auxiliary server, it did experience some problems this morning after running continously uninterrupted for 5 days. This problem necessitated taking the server down for a couple of hours emergency maintenance. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
