JISCMail servers went offline unexpectedly at around 1pm this afternoon (Tuesday 6th November 2012). This caused problems across the entire JISCMail service. It was caused by a major power cut affecting large parts of Stockholm, home of our service providers L-Soft and the JISCMail email servers. Full service was resumed around 2:30pm.
As a result of the power cut there may be some delays to emails sent to JISCMail lists (via email or directly from the web interface) and anything sent to our customer support email firstname.lastname@example.org
During unexpected outage/downtime we will always try to keep our customers updated through our news feed on www.jiscmail.ac.uk, our twitter account @jiscmailhelp and our facebook page www.facebook.com/jiscmail
