ETHOS-STEERING-GROUP The EThOS Electronic Theses Online Service Project seeks to develop a one stop shop providing access to UK theses. The service is being developed by a consortium consisting of the British Library, Imperial College London, Cranfield University, Robert Gordon University, University of Glasgow, University of Hull and University of Birmingham. The consortium is supported by several other universities. Initial funding has been provided by the JISC and RLUK. The EThOS service has been live since 20th January 2009 in a beta version, providing access to information about some 250,000 theses together with an ordering facility. In addition to the live service, there is a toolkit of information and advice to universities considering participating in the service.

IRISH-STUDIES This is a general discussion forum for Irish studies with an initial focus on the Queen's University Belfast and JSTOR digitization project which will deliver 100 full text journals, 205 full text monographs and 2,500 manuscript images with detailed metadata. The resource will be free in the UK and Ireland. It is anticipated that list members will engage in discussion on the development of further research resources relating to Ireland.
